INNOVATION THE BUZZWORD AT NUL EXPO

THE National University of Lesotho (NUL) held its second Science and Technology Innovation Expo at Pioneer Mall on Thursday which was meant to showcase the institution’s various scientific projects and innovations.

According to NUL’s Chemistry Head of Department, Dr Mosotho George, the expo initially showcased products and services from science-based faculties but had since expanded to include other faculties such as Law and Social Sciences.

So you still remember a series of public courses on Renewable Energy offered by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) Department of Physics and Electrons? The first week-long class is over. It is just one of the 10 in the series. More are coming!

Here is what the elated attendes had to say:

- When one attendee was asked, would you recommend the course to others? The answer was emphatic, " Yes, Yes, Yes!"

The student then added, "Keep up the good work, engineers will become economists and they will understand the assessment and evaluatation of projects."

NUL RESEARCHERS, LOCAL WILD BERRIES AND SOFT DRINKS

If you are interested in what future drinks of the 21st century will taste like, look no further than the National University of Lesotho (NUL), a hub of new ideas. That is a place where Ts’oana Ntlatlapa and her supervisor; Dr Emmanuel Tanor, have just studied wild fruits of local Scolopia Mundii (qoqolosi) for application in soft drinks.

LESOTHO’S FIRST MOBILE PIZZA RESTAURENT BY NUL GRADUATE!

Few people can resist an urge to taste Lesotho’s latest and tastiest pizza—Spetzos Pizza. It is a homemade pizza, made from Lesotho invented wood-fired oven. It is one of the latest in a string of innovations by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) graduates, in whose ranks is Teboho Nchaba with a BEng Degree in Electronics. 

There are reasons to claim Spetzos Pizza as our very own! Simple reasons! Everything from the oven itself to the tasty innovative pizzas is the brainchild of our fellow countryman. 

WHY NUL RESEARCH AND INNOVATIONS NEED VOLUNTEERS IN 2017

It is exactly one and half years! Since then, NUL Research and Innovations and the local media, especially The Post Newspaper, started documenting in a layman’s language, the amazing work the NUL community is doing.
