Ladies and gentlemen, we can now declare: “NUL’s Robotic Egg Incubator, Pius the XII, is ready to hit the markets!” That is thanks to Electronic Engineers at the National University of Lesotho (NUL); Seforo Mohlalisi and Thabo Koetje!

In a nutshell, it controls temperature to the finest digits, it confines humidity to any required range, it turns the eggs by itself, it continually pumps water needed in the system during operations, it rings the alarm to warn you of dangerous conditions and, as a bonus, it keeps you on the loop about what’s going on; 24/7.

Abstract

It is an institution that will transform Lesotho at the core. And it is called the National University of Lesotho (NUL) Innovation Hub.

No doubt the college has seen ballooning levels of innovation under the current leadership of Professor Nqosa Mahao, the NUL Vice Chancellor!

“The NUL Innovation Hub will be a vehicle through which we will transform ideas into realities,” said Professor ‘Mathoto Lephoto, the NUL Pro-Vice Chancellor, as the concept was being introduced to the NUL senate.

Hers are just three products which she manufactures with a stamina of athletes and a patience of saints! They are pimple healing spray, lip-gloss and lip-balm. Taking after her own name, she calls them SOR products.

Her name is Selloane Odi Raleting, the National University of Lesotho (NUL) trained teacher and a self-proclaimed entrepreneurship enthusiast!
